Run LabVIEW VIs headless on the test machine

- Category: Tools
- Capabilities: Operations
- Runs on: Windows x64, Linux x64

Run LabVIEW VIs headless on the machine that owns the hardware, such as a
fixture routine, a data-prep VI or a rig health check. You get the VI's
console output back.

## What you get

- **Run VI** — runs a `.vi` on the device by path and returns its console
  output.
- **No extra install.** It uses the LabVIEW CLI that ships with LabVIEW 2018
or later, on Windows or Linux, and finds it on its own.

## Setup

1. Install the connector from the **Connectors** tab and open its page.
2. Press **Test connection**. It checks that the CLI is present and runs. If
LabVIEW is in a non-standard place, set **LabVIEW CLI** to the CLI's full
   path.
3. Ask the agent to run a VI, or call **Run VI** with the VI's path.

## Notes

- Test connection does not launch LabVIEW, which can be slow and use a
licence seat. The first VI run does.
- A failed VI returns the end of its console output, so the error is in the
  message.
- A VI run stops after 10 minutes. Split longer work, or run it as its own
  service.
