- Runs in
- The Phloem cloud — nothing to install
Lets Hamming query your ServiceNow instance live — incidents, problems, change requests, and any other table the account can read.
What Phloem reads
- Table rows, queried live with a ServiceNow encoded query (e.g.
active=true^priority=1) on the table Hamming names:incident,problem,change_request,cmdb_ci,kb_knowledgeand so on - Reference fields, with both their stored value and display value
Nothing is copied ahead of time; each question is a fresh query. Read-only.
What you need
- Your instance hostname (
your-instance.service-now.com). - A ServiceNow user that can read the tables you want, with either:
- Basic Auth — its username and password
- OAuth 2.0 — a client ID and secret from the ServiceNow Application Registry, plus a username and password
Connect
- In the console, open Connectors, choose Add connector, then ServiceNow.
- Enter Instance URL, without
https://. - Choose an Authentication Method:
- Basic Auth (Username & Password) — Username and Password
- OAuth 2.0 (Client Credentials) — Client ID, Client Secret, OAuth Username and OAuth Password
- Save. The test reads one user record to check access.
What Hamming can do
- Query — run an encoded query on a named table and return rows
- Sample — a few rows from a table
